Huizi (Angela) Yu

Hello, my name is Huizi (Angela) Yu and I am a Data Scientist at Amazon AWS. I received my Master’s degree in Biostatistics in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, and Math in UCLA.

My research focuses on leveraging AI—particularly machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models—to enhance clinical decision-making and patient care. Currently, I am developing responsible AI systems to bridge the gap between clinical training and practice, create LLM-powered workflows for simulating patient interactions, and design tools to improve the precision, trustworthiness, and inclusivity of medical AI.
